Waiting on Wednesday (71)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine.

Lola and the Boy Next Door
by Stephanie Perkins

Release Date:
September 29, 2011

In this companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss, two teens discover that true love may be closer than they think.

For budding costume designer Lola Nolan, the more outrageous, the outfit—more sparkly, more fun, more wild—the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins move back into the house next door.

When the family returns and Cricket—a gifted inventor and engineer—steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Okay, so I finished Anna and the French Kiss the other day (I have yet to review it, which I guarantee will be fun to do). And my final say is that it is holyfreakingamazinglikeallkindsofsexysquealygoodness! Yeah, I'll further elaborate on that in the review. After I finished the book at 3 AM, I stayed up a bit because I couldn't sleep with my heart squeezing and all. Then I took the extra time to look up the companion novel. Woo! So exciting! Now I'm just wondering how this will be tied to Anna and the French Kiss. I guess we will just have to wait for September to come. Torture!

Also, on a non-related book note, tomorrow is my prom! I've been MIA for the past few weeks because everything has been crammed lately. And this will probably mean I'll be MIA again for this weekend, although I might come back by the end of it (Victoria Day on Monday!). So basically I have a 5-day weekend. What a temporary vacay! If only I was going prom camping or prom cottaging... For now, I hope you enjoy reviews. :)
